Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati was on Monday asked by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen to leave inside the following seven days.

In a tweet, Murkomen kept up that the electoral organization supervisor should venture down or the officials will frame a court which will encourage his expulsion from office.

The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator’s comments came minutes after three IEBC officials declared their abdication refering to absence of confidence in Chebukati’s administration.

Representative Murkomen additionally asked officials

Abdi Guliye and Boya Molu to advance down after the abdication of Consolata Maina , Paul Kurgat and Margaret Mwachanya .

Murkomen’s tweet perused: “Chebukati, Molu and Guliye MUST leave from IEBC inside the following 7 days or we shape a Tribunal to research them.”

The IEBC Commissioners must be expelled from office by summoning Chapter Fifteen of the Constitution.

Article 251 of the Constitution of Kenya expresses that a Commissioner can be evacuated, either after a genuine infringement of this Constitution or some other law, net unfortunate behavior, physical or mental inadequacy to play out the elements of the workplace, ineptitude and chapter 11.
